Everyone that plays pokemon has at least one gimmick pokemon that they use, whether it's secretly strong or just surprisingly strong when it comes to mind game potential.
What pokemon is your sleeper pick?

Mine is Special Attack Sweeper Infernape.

Infernape comes out, enemy is going to switch to a bulky water type if possible.
I use Nasty Plot, special attack doubles for free during the enemy's switch turn.
They send out their Jellicent/Blastoise/Wailord/etc expecting me to use Flamethrower
But I don't use a fire move, Infernape can learn Grass Knot

Starmie
Timid Nature
EVs: 252 sp. atk 252 speed 4 HP
IVs: any although a high speed one is recommended.
Moves
-ice beam
-psychic
-surf
-thunderbolt

Aim and shoot. Has unlimited potential since it can super effectively hit most Pokémon for 1 hit kills with black glasses. This one got me a 50 win streak at the battle tower in Pearl. I had to fight Barry's dad lol. I won. But then I started fighting legendarys.

In my Pokemon Moon Nuzlocke, my surprise hero was Carbink. It's Fairy / Rock typing and absurd defences ended up being really useful in a lot of situations. She also had Stealth Rock which messed up the Elite Four pretty hard.

I tried out my Nuzlocke team competitively for a bit and Carbink was always the one that screwed people over. Nobody knew what to do against her.
